14. What does the word “Church” mean?

The word “Church” means “called out ones”. It is derived from the word Ekklesia which literally means to be called out. Indeed, when the children of lsrael left Egypt and were in the wilderness they were termed the “church in the wilderness” by virtue of the fact that they were called out of Egypt.
