20. Do Oneness Apostolics believe in believe in the Father?

Yes. They believe that God is a supernatural Spirit that controls the universe and that it was this Spirit of God (called the Holy Spirit) that overshadowed Mary and led to the conception of the man Christ Jesus. The term “Father” thus refers to God Himself. During His earthly ministry, the Bible states that Jesus was indwelt by the Spirit by the Spirit (i.e. God was in Christ…). Apostolics do not accept the doctrine of the trinity, as it is not consistent with the Scripures and furthermore, can be clearly traced to an origin in pagan culture.
