33. Is there a contradiction between the commission of Matthew 28:19 and what Peter stated in Acts 2:38?

No! No! God would not cover-up such a contradiction by confirming the works of the Apostles with signs and wonders. In Matthew 28:19, a single name common to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is referred to. That name is Jesus. Thus baptizing a candidate in Jesus’ name fulfills the commission given in Matthew 28:19. Otherwise, not only would Peter be wrong (Acts 2:38; 10:48) but Phillip (Acts 8:16) and Paul (Acts 19:5) would also be wrong. Indeed, all the other apostles stood in one accord with Peter on the day of Pentecost and collectively, would be all wrong.

Matthew 28:19
19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
