41. What is meant by Baptism of the Holy Ghost?

It is a unique experience by which God’s Spirit comes to dwell in the heart of the believer. The first demonstration of this outpouring in the New Testament was on the day of Pentecost, providing fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy.

Joel 2:28-29
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days I will pour out My Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:26-27
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
27 And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.
